In today's gospel, the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord, we find the story of the three magi's visit to Jesus. And their guiding light that led them to Jesus' birthplace was the Star.
Fr. Ronald's homily focused on this aspect of the Star. He told a story of how a family was the star to a person's life. He also made us think about the stars in our lives: these are people who guide and mold us to the person that we are.
Who are the stars in my life? The greatest star, I can say, is my family. They have really been a great influence on what I am today. I can say that they raised me well enough to live in this world.
Fr. Ronald also asked us to say a prayer for the stars in our lives. I remember my Ninang Dada, who to me is a second mom, and who is in the hospital right now. I pray that she may get well, and that she may get the necessary help, particularly financial, to pay for hospital bills and medicines. I lift this God up to You, our Light and Healer. Amen.
